Monte Faito (1,131 metres), a peak of the Lattari Mountains, is the perfect place for anyone who wants to stroll, breathing in the scents of holm oaks and chestnut trees, living the beauty of the woods and catching priceless glimpses of the coasts and the Gulf of Naples. Its territory amidst the municipalities of Vico Equense and Castellammare di Stabia. The mountain's perks, especially as a tourist destination, gradually increased from the second half of the twentieth century, when numerous hotels and villas were built. Accommodations, restaurants and bars, and many picnic areas. Monte Faito is the most suited place for a wide variety of tourists - from the naturalist to the sportsman, an there is room for religious tourists as well. The musts are: the Belvedere, the Sanctuary of San Michele, and the numerous fascinating paths for the trekking lovers. Monte Faito can be reached from Vico Equense taking the R.
